Manager Charter Business - Markham (21400)

Reports To: Vice President Charter Business

Direct Reports: 3

Job Purpose:

Serves as the cornerstone between the charter business and the Regions operational activities. Responsible for growing charter business in his or her supervised area. Optimizes charter sales operations (e.g., contact center) and supports local operational staff in all charter related operations.

Major Responsibilities:

Maximizes charter revenue.

Grows revenue and profitability from large charter client accounts.

Holds Supervisor Contact Center accountable for achievement of charter center KPI targets.

Works with Location Managers to address restrained charter capacity issues. 

Leads the effort to convert non-supported Locations into the Charter Center operations.

Maintains customer relationships through frequent follow-up and contact.

Supports Location Manager branding, marketing and sales efforts.

Keep Vice President of Charter and Senior Vice President of Eastern Canada Operations appraised on charter progress, weekly contract center KPI's and CCR assessments.

Responsible for decisions related to day-to-day charter operations within the supervised area i.e. Contract Center staffing and supervisory decisions, and sales negotiations in charter contract situations outside of charter staff decision rights.

Experience and Skills:

Call center experience strongly preferred.

Previous experience with transportation operations strongly preferred.

Experience with providing goods or services to top decision makers in the education space preferred

Excellent communication skills.

Experience working with metrics.

Experience putting together strategies for staff motivation.

Must be able to manage and drive performance to achieve Charter Revenue and Expense Targets.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Must be able to move about the office and between floors. Office environment.
